Nate Shapiro, Test Manager II, Blizzard Entertainment
In order to be successful in Quality Assurance, one must look to become a master of your craft. Unfortunately, the 10,000 hour rule doesn’t always apply. Studies have shown that you need to practice your craft deliberately to become a master and evolve with the industry. Time alone does not work. In this talk, Nate will talk about how Blizzard Entertainment approaches making QA into a profession and how we’ve evolved with the industry.
Nate Shapiro, CTEL-TM Full, started his career in the gaming industry in 2007. He’s spent the majority of his career at Blizzard in a Quality Assurance related role. Nate is currently the Test Manager for Heroes of the Storm overseeing all Quality Assurance operations for the product. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton and his MBA from University of California, Irvine.
